CBD for hemorrhoids can be an inexpensive way to help reduce the discomfort for both internal and external hemorrhoids. Learn How! After finding no cure for her debilitating hemorrhoids, this mum says CBD was the miracle she needed.
CBD For Hemorrhoids
In this quick post we will discuss how to use CBD for Hemorrhoids and get some much needed relief. So, what exactly are hemorrhoids? Well hemorrhoids, also known as piles, are swollen veins in the lower part of the anal cavity in the rectum area. When the walls of these vessels are stretched they become irritated. Although hemorrhoids can be unpleasant and painful, they are typically easy to treat and preventable.
What Causes Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids can develop from increased pressure in the lower rectum. This can be due to straining during bowel movements, sitting for long periods of time as truck drivers do on long hauls, also sitting on the toilet for long periods of time which some people do, or by having chronic diarrhea or more specifically constipation from a virus or even poor eating habits. Some people eat a very poor diet and they find themselves constipated almost on a weekly basis. We know that CBD helps with constipation. Also, we want people to be aware of the benefit of a good quality plant-based diet with CBD. They both work hand-in-hand very well together. Good clean dietary habits can help avoid constipation. One of the most common causes of hemorrhoids is that people just tend to push too hard during bowel movements. Sometimes it’s not their fault as it may be a prescription medication that’s causing the constipation.
Symptoms of Hemorrhoids
Symptoms of hemorrhoids depend on the type you have whether it’s internal or external. If you have external hemorrhoids you may have anal itching, and one or more hard little tender lumps near your anus. You may also experience anal ache or pain especially when sitting too much. Straining, rubbing or cleaning around the area may make the symptoms worse. For many people the symptoms of external hemorrhoids go away typically within three to five days. Below is an illustration of the two types of hemorrhoids. The little purple bump at the bottom of the illustration clearly shows the external hemorrhoid. It’s like a little bump on the end of the anus and the, and the internal hemorrhoids are a little further up inside.

Internal / External Hemorrhoids
If you have an internal hemorrhoid you may have bleeding from your rectum. It may appear as bright red blood on the stool, in the toilet, or on the toilet paper. A hemorrhoid that has fallen through the anal opening is called a prolapse. This is a more serious type of hemorrhoid and may require a doctor’s treatment or attention.

New mum says CBD ‘saved her butt’ and cured her of piles
Although plenty of research still needs to be done on the efficacy of cannabinoids on illnesses and ailments, a vast amount of those who use CBD do so to alleviate symptoms (41% according to a recent survey).
A brand new one, however, is using the cannabis-derived product to relieve piles.
One mum shared on Reddit that it had ‘saved her butt’ after she gave birth and suffered with severe hemorrhoids. From there, plenty more people have been saying the same thing.
The new parent explained how she suffered with piles following the birth of her baby until discovering CBD, in post titled ‘CBD Saved My Butt (literally)’.

In it, she said: ‘I had my first baby in July. 3-4 weeks post-partum, I develop excruciating hemorrhoids (they sure don’t tell you it could happen!).
‘I’ve had them before, little external ones. This was not like that. They were internal and external, the internal one was huge. I did not know such inflammation could occur.’
She goes on to explain the difference after trying CBD: ‘Within 2 days I was able to go to the bathroom without crying. I was in pain, but nothing like the pain-coaster I had been on. The CBD absorbed and actually reached the internal hemorroid. My inflammation began to decrease, as did my pain. I can almost recognise my bottom again.’
The poster used an unscented lotion that had the CBD compound in it, and found what she called ‘sweet heavenly mercy lawdy oh sweet relief’.
Another person replied talking about their own experience of using the oil for hemorrhoids, saying: ‘It was absolutely incredible. I applied it, noticed the inflamed area hurt less within 10 minutes, then went to take a shower about 45 minutes later and when I went to wash (ahem..) back there, all the swelling had gone and I was completely back to normal.’
It’s unclear why and how CBD appears to work this way, and it’s important to ensure you always speak to your doctor before trying anything new rather than simply relying on personal anecdotes.
David Barcly, MD of UK brand CBD Armour says: ‘There have been reports of CBD being a very responsive anti-inflammatory. So one can understand why people would consider using it in this manner. It would be beneficial to have some official research into this.’
