gyo seeds

4 out of 7 seeds took. Out of the four only two looked like they were going good. And two stopped growing and died. But because of bugs and bad luck ( shelf in greenhouse fell on it) I ended up with none.
I used peat pallets for all seeds.
I won't be ordering again from them

I had almost $70usd worth of eucalyptus points held on my GYO account as store credit. Now, there are no points. There is no GYO.

I would give 0 stars first germination rate is horrible but expected when seeds are white n tiny but u think they care nope they give u points that are useless especially if they change there website n name to homegrown and the points that u earned from 2 large orders cuz didnt learn after first consider gone and wont reply to u oh n new site there using is gunna rip people off even worse cuz prices are 10x higher so feel bad for people that fall for that n get nothing for there money or tiny white no germinating seeds

All of a sudden there is a change of ownership and now your "eucalyptus points" that you were "promised" would hold true to their value when you initially made your purchase, no longer count. Literally, just pulled the rug out on it and told me that "we will bring in back in the future but your points don't count anymore". But that didn't stop them from sending out a reminder of those "useless" points balance a week or two ago,"just a click away from our new site! But those balance points we emailed you about don't count anymore, never-mind us having the point system still in place! Lol sorry :)".

I’m here because when I posted my review on their website they deleted so people here’s what it is.
They charge you a lot of money for tracking but you don’t really track anything. They will send you seeds that are small, white etc and will not germinate, when you asked them to send another to replace or give you the money back they pretty much ignore you or say no. This company doesn’t guarantee their product, mind you this is 2019 seeds are being modified and tested to meet a customer satisfaction etc any real farmer and grower knows this. But not these guys. Go to a place or store that will both guarantee your money and their products. Trust me DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD, THEY ARE GREEDY, SHADY. Once they have your money they don’t care about your complaints or the outcome of what happened.

Payment methods offered at GYO Seedbank include Visa and Mastercard payments as well as Bitcoin. Bank transfer and cash payments can be arranged upon request, but they are no longer accepting PayPal payments at all.

First, customer support messages would come from all three seed banks that were similar if not identical, and all of the messages were signed by the same person.

Payment Methods

There are 5 different tiers, each with 3 different seeds to choose from. At the $39.01 order level, choose from Pineapple Hunk, Master Kush, or NYC Diesel Auto. At the $52.01 level, choose between LA S.A.G.E. CBD, Fruit Punch Auto, and Kilimanjaro. From $97.52, select either Dark Purple Auto, Red Leicester, or White Widow. Orders of $130.02 are eligible to receive Crystal Queen, Bubble Auto, or TSI Fly. When spending $175.53 and above, choose from Sweet Tooth, Shark Auto, or Durban.

The huge quantity of negative reviews is a big mark against them, but not the absolute biggest. That distinction would have to go to the fact that they operate several different seed banks under different brands, including GYO Seedbank, Bonza seeds, The Single Seed Center, Home Grown Cannabis Co, and some that may not have been uncovered yet.

The reason that GYO Seedbank is reluctant to admit that they run multiple seed bank brands is likely because there is little reason to do so for seed banks that are operating on the up and up.

Shipping speeds can be quite slow since orders are not usually dispatched until 2 to 4 business days after payment is received. After that, it typically takes anywhere between 3 and 10 business days to actually be delivered, though it could be as much as 30 working days before delivery.

These perks all sound nice if you’re planning to do business with this seed bank regularly. However, it is rather pricey, with a three-month membership running $65CA, six months running $123CA, and $221CA for a full year – or you can pay with Eucalyptus Points if you happened to have enough stored up. Unless you are buying very large quantities of seeds or placing multiple orders over a relatively short period of time, the discounts and free shipping may not be worth the cost of membership.

GYO (“Grow Your Own”) Seedbank is based in the UK and Spain. GYO was founded in 2015, originally created as a sister seed bank to Bonza Seeds. Bonza Seeds has since been purchased by another well-known seed bank, while GYO was acquired by Homegrown Cannabis Co., which has rebranded the company in the United States and Australia. The seed bank is still operating as GYO in all other countries.

GYO Seedbank gives a lot of attention to advertising its loyalty program, Eucalyptus Points, which includes many ways to rack up points to cash in for discounts on future orders. Some of the ways to get extra points include writing a review of your purchase on GYO.green, reviewing the company in a public cannabis forum, signing up for the newsletter, sharing on social media, or inviting a friend to join the program. You also get points on your birthday, with every fifth purchase, and when you first create your Eucalyptus Points account.

GYO’s website states that all orders are always shipped in discreet packaging that’s sturdy enough to keep seeds from harm, though this has not always been the case. It’s not uncommon for seeds to arrive in relatively flimsy packaging, and occasionally inside sealed packaging with punctures or tears in it. As an extra security measure, shipping is supposed to be tracked, but that tracking info isn’t always shared with the buyer.

Since enough buyers have received useable seeds for their money, we do consider GYO a legit seed bank. However, we still recommend shopping elsewhere, as this seed bank has a track record of inconsistency in nearly every important area – including genetics, customer service, and shipping methods.

An alarmingly high number of buyers have had the unfortunate experience of receiving multiple seeds (in some cases, an entire order) that either completely failed to sprout or abruptly stopped growing at some point after sprouting. Some of these buyers realized something was amiss as soon as they opened the packaging, finding underdeveloped seeds that were smaller than they should be and white or gray in color. There have also been several cases of hermaphrodite plants growing from seeds that were advertised as feminized. GYO does not guarantee germination or seed quality, and there is, unfortunately, no recourse given when seed issues arise.

Despite the fact that Eucalyptus Points are heavily advertised on GYO’s website, the program is not necessarily dependable. Some of GYO Seedbank’s repeat customers have seen their large quantities of previously accumulated points suddenly disappear. GYO’s explanation for the disappearing points was that the Eucalyptus Points program was “temporarily” shut down, with plans to bring it back in the future. No mention has been made plans to restore these lost points, however. Despite this status, both GYO’s and Homegrown’s websites are full of advertising for the Eucalyptus Points program with no mention of this hiatus.
